Happy, Happy Easter!!!

Boy! The Easter Bunny was good to our family this year!!!
We spent 5 days in Thermopolis, Wyoming with Grandma Wendy, Les, Uncle Frank, Uncle Merrill, Aunt Gail, and Darci for our first ever Easter camping trip! Upon our arrival, we were pleasently suprised (well, I was!) with a new (well, new to us!!!) hard sided camper, and a special letter from the easter bunny welcoming us into the Hard Sided Camper Club!!! I can't remember a suprise that went off that well without me finding out!! I guess everyone knew about it but me!! How does that happen?? Anyway, I cried a little, then I did alot of "Happy Dances" during our vacation. So long little pop-up camper. Thank you for all of the good times and memories!! We hope your next owner finds as much joy in you as we did!

We spent alot of time in the Mineral Hot Pools, and Addison got to go swimming in a "BIG" pool for the very first time with Grandma!! I am pretty sure that she is wondering why we had to come back home!!! The bathtub just isn't the same! :)

Our family did alot of site seeing that none of us had ever experienced in the little town of Thermopolis. I grew up close to there, and we saw things I never knew were there. We went to the Wax Museum, The Dinosaur Museum, The fameous "Star Plunge" pool, drove through the Buffalo Farm, walked around the mineral mountains, and made the swinging bridge "SWING". I think the other tourists there thought we were trying to see how far we could watch the tourists fling off of the side!! Some of them were experiencing a little terror for their vacation memory book! LOL!! Nobody was hurt or injured, but boy was it funny to watch!

We also celebrated Addison's 7-month birthday! Lemon cake with cream cheese frosting. YUMMMM!!!It always seems like she is napping, or down for the night when we partake of the sacred monthly birthday cake! Oh well, I guess she can have a whole one on her 1-year birthday! :) I cannot believe how fast time is flying by! I was planning on getting her pictures taken for her 6-month birthday, and somehow last month felt like 3 days! OOPS! Sorry Addie, we missed it. Now your pictures (scheduled for this Saturday) will be conveniently called: "Your First Spring!" AHHHHH.....Isn't it great how inventive we get after we have a few kids!!

Thank you Grandma, Les, and everyone else for making our Easter vacation one we will NEVER forget. As for "NOMAD", welcome to our family!! We cannot wait to take you on many more adventures with us!!

February Fun!

5 Months Old!!!
Well, I am not really great at keeping this blog updated. Sorry! This new chapter of my life is kicking my fannie! I must have had my frontal lobe removed since I delivered Gabrielle and Lauren, because I have totally forgotten how much fun and work it is to have a little baby around the house!
February has been a VERY busy month for our family. We have been taking TONS of pictures of Addison, constantly documenting all of her "First's", first foods, first tooth, first giggle, first roll-over, first bike ride, etc...etc...etc... They go SOOOO fast!!
Gabrielle has been busy with school, her social life, snowboarding almost every weekend, social life, texting, working her part-time job at the University doing concessions, and focusing on her ever present social life! Need I say more! Ahhhhh..... to be 15 again! :)

Lauren has been very busy also. She is doing really well in her 5th grade class at school, and absoultley LOVES her teacher! She did her science fair project this month..."Which will sprout beans faster? Water, Milk, or O.J." that was pretty interesting! She joined an after school program to learn more about Science and Engineering, and is having fun building things, and putting science to the test! She has also been very active with the Junior Jazz Basketball program, and despite her belief, she has been doing very well. Lauren is also very busy helping mom take care of Addison. Her and I are loving every minute of it!!
Miriah and Shannah were here a couple of weeks ago for about 5 days and got to spend alot of time with dad since he took the time off work to be with them. They had fun and got to have some great daddy/daughter bonding time.
Brian has been working towards the goal of getting re-baptized for several years, and this month all of his hard work, it finally paid off. On February 13th we had the honor of seeing him enter the waters of Baptism, being baptized by his father, and confirmed by my uncle Thayne. What a fun day! We had a big celebration afterwards, and had a wonderful turn out for dinner and dessert! WHEW~! Do you think that maybe March will slow down?!!?!? Thank you Family for a wonderful month!

2008 Family Pictures!

Well, we decided that since we have a beautiful new addition to our family this year, that we should do some new family pictures. When my brother Frank was here for Thanksgiving, he took us all to Memory Grove, here in Salt Lake to see if we could do something fun with the girls besides the regular indoor sitting style pictures, and man, did they have fun! During part of the "photo shoot" I wondered if I was at some sort of modeling shoot! LOL!!!! AAAHHHHHH...... the life of living with 5 girls! I am sure my brother had a particularily fun time playing "photographer!" Thanks UNCLE FRANK!!

Blessing Day!

This thursday was a very special day for our family. We not only celebrated Thanksgiving but we got to have Addison blessed! We decided that since there were several family members here from out of town, that it would be the perfect opportunity to have Addison and her second cousin, Allison blessed. (Since they are only 2 weeks apart, and share several family members) We also thought it would be fun to do it together! And it was! We had close to 70 people there between the 4 families! What an amazing day~ Allison was blessed by her father, Kent, and Addison was blessed by my cousin, and Brian's brother-in-law, Phillip. ( I know, it is confusing sometimes!) Both girls were absoultley beautiful! What a wonderful way to remind us about the things we are thankful for!

Precious updates

Well, we are back! Our Internet has been on the fritz for a few weeks, so we have plenty to update you all on.
Since our last post (Brian's Birthday) we have celebrated Addison's first Halloween, which included a trip to Lauren's school to see the ever popular Halloween Parade. She has had her 2 month check up, and my oh my!!! This little girl loves her groceries!! She has gained 4 pounds and grown 2 inches since she was born!! What a great eater!! She has retired the bassinett in mom and dad's room to be in her "big girl crib" in her own room!! She seems to be sleeping much better. She is averaging about a 6 hour sleeping stretch on most nights before she decides it's time for an early morning snack!
Dad, Gabby and Lauren are constantly making sure that Addison is getting EVERYTHING her little heart desires. It seems that she has mastered the "fake cry" just so they will come to her bekon call! Amazingly enough dad and big sisters have not figured out her little plan :) Mom, on the other hand, has figured out that if she just keeps her fed and changed, everything will be A-OK.

We have also experienced Addison's first giggle's and smiles. Oh how we forget how much fun it is to make a baby laugh!! Too bad you can't just bottle it and save it for those days when they grow up all too fast!
Gabrielle and Lauren are doing great! They are both getting fabulous grades in school, and staying very busy! Gabrielle just celebrated her 15th Birthday yesterday! She has started her first "real job". She is working at the University of Utah in the consessions stand selling fast food, and getting paid to talk to everyone! What a perfect fit!!! Lauren is doing the Junior Jazz Program again this year for Basketball. She is doing great and is super fast at defending the ball. She sticks to her opponent like glue!

Miriah and Shannah will be here this week to celebrate Thanksgiving with us. We are getting family pictures done this week and having Addison blessed with her 2nd cousin Allison on Thanksgiving morning.. We have 4 extended families coming, so we decided to have a joint baby blessing at the church so that everyone would be able to attend. I think it will be awesome!! The two girls are only 2 weeks apart, and Addison has her cousin by at least 5 pounds! Isn't it wonderful to be a baby and everyone keeps track of how much weight you have GAINED instead of when you get older and it is so cool to LOOSE weight...... Ahhhhhh........ To be a baby!!

Brian's Birthday :)

WOW how time fly's!! We were going to try to update this every week, but with a new little one, and 4 older ones, it just hasn't happened! We were able to get all the family together for a photo so I thought I'd throw it up for all to see. This was at Dads 30 something birthday and Addison's 1 Month Birthday. Dad and the 4 oldest spent a rainy day at Lagoon. We didn't have to wait in any lines due to the wet and cold, but we went on every ride we wanted. Here's everybody's name and age; Brian, Heather, Gabrielle 14, Miriah 12, Shannah 11, Lauren 10, Addison 1 month Old!!!!!

ADDISON COLLEEN FARNSWORTH

SHES HERE!!!! Addison Colleen Farnsworth arrived on Tuesday September 9th at 5:31pm and weighed 8lbs 8oz and was 22 1/2 inches long. Present at her arrival was Mom(of course), Dad, Grandma Wendy, and big sisters Gabby and Lauren. The delivery was somewhat a struggle due to scar tissue from Mom's past surgery's and implant which made it so she will remember how fun it is to give birth. Both Mom and Baby are fine and doing well!!! Brian
